Hot DAM 2

Here are some more pics to supplement Michael's itinerary. Mike didn't say much about our rock climbing adventure which included scrambling, bush whacking and route finding. We created a new and improved hike, circumnavigating the 1st Flat Iron by way of climbing the top of the 2nd Flat Iron. A critical landmark is the Copenhagen lid.

Here's Michael and Tim doing street ball right...with a
fo' shiz nasty reverse loop underlay

The flat irons are awesome evidence of some massive geological forces.

Are they sort of in the front range or foothills? How far drive-time from your house in Denver?

Brian,

I think you'd classify the flat irons as foothills. It's only a thousand foot climb from 5280. The drive time was about an hour.

If the flat irons are foothills, what does that make Prentice Mt?

what about the flat footed or the iron hills?
